SportExcel 1st leg is over and i'm not happy with my performance at all..
after my 1st round loss to Andre, i faced an unfamiliar opponent.. i have never faced him nor have i seen him before.. anyway, i beat him in straight sets with ease.. one f**ked up thing about playing at Bayview is we cant explore.. we're not allowed to wonder around the pool area.. but we do get access to the beach.. i illegally took a shower at the pool area bathroom after my afternoon match.. after everyone finished their matches, we took the bus back to Stallion where the out-of-state players are staying.. the under-19 girls havent finished for the day so i decided to go watch them including Dennis, Yassin, Brian, and a few others.. went back during Yi Lian's match.. SORRY..!!
the second day was about the same.. woke up at friggin 6 in the morning and reached Stallion by 7.. took the bus to Bayview and i had to play the first matcn of the day AGAIN.. my opponent was Umaha.. he stopped squash last year for SPM and came back this year.. i lost to him 1-2.. it was disappointing for me because i knew i could do better but my shots werent up to standard.. when the match ended i came out of the court and my back was hurting like hell.. i swear i couldnt breathe.. i had to lie down and control my breathing then only i started to breathe normal again..
went for lunch with Yassin, Dennis and Raffie opposite the hotel.. had a short practice session with Dennis and my opponent Abdul Rashid before my match.. i eventually beat Abdul Rashid in straight sets.. as usual, went back to Stallion and waited for my parents.. no afternoon matches for the u-19 girls so Dennis and i played basketball with Han Jie, Marcus, Saiful and a couple more..
i woke up at 6am this morning but fell right back to sleep.. i woke up again at 6.40 and was rushing like a mad dog.. i made it to Stallion in time for the bus.. my opponent for today was Raffie.. he's playing under Sabah now.. i knew i could beat him if i played a simple game.. but my biggest mistake was thinking that i could outlast him.. i am fitter than him but i forgot about my back pain the day before.. so i took the first set from 2-7 down, to win the set 9-7.. i lost the next 2 sets because Raffie's drives were to good for me.. and my drops and boasts were only 70%.. halfway through the last set, my back started to hurt again so i struggled.. fell quite a number of times in that set.. after the match ended, i came out and i had difficulties breathing again..
after having enough rest, Raffie and i went for breakfast together.. after everyone had finished their match, it was time to got to the squash courts.. we arrived there and there were so many people there.. i took a bath and watched Andria's match.. i also watched Nicholas, Hayate, and Vanessa's matches.. everyone gathered at the main court to watch Kah Wah play Jo Wen in the boys u-19 final.. Kah Wah lost..
oh i forgot to mention i met Christine at the squash court.. she COULDNT RECOGNISE ME..!! haha.. she took pictures with a few of us and then went back *after wishing Jo Wen good luck* XD
now i'm back home and tired as hell.. i wont be playing in the 2nd leg thanks to my disappointing performance.. i hope i'll get more chances.. need to train harder..
i'm sorry this post turned out to be so long.. and sorry for the lack of photos.. i gues everyone was too busy with squash we couldnt vain? haha.. didnt even take pictures of the place.. oh well.. training is off for tomorrow so i'll be back on wednesday.. body aching everywhere..
till next time..
